Richard Ford Award (Museo del Prado residency)

I am proud to share that I was chosen as joint overall winner of the Richard Ford Award 2025. The award enables recent graduates to immerse themselves in Museo del Prado's collection for a minimum of three weeks. The trip was an absolute dream and I can't wait to see how what I learned pushes my practice forward. My drawings from the trip are now held digitally in the Prado and Royal Academy archives, with selected drawings viewable below.

Below you will find selected pocket sketchbook pages from the Drawing Year. I tend to complete one every few months with observational sketches, studies from exhibitions, films and photos, and notes from artist talks or conversations. I rarely sketch out ideas before making work but these occasionally make their way in too. I also share selected pages on Instagram.
